I am a lover of Mangoes. I cannot describe how much love I have for these mangoes. It could be any dish with mangoes – pickle, rice, dessert, cake etc. I would not say “No”.
During my childhood days, whenever I eat mangoes even a small piece, I would get blisters all over my face. I would invite blisters every Summer. I used to have some painful days then. It would pain and itch very badly. My mom used to provide me a lot of comfort.
Do you think blisters stopped me from eating mangoes? No, never! I would beg my mom and on seeing my sad face, she would offer me a tiny piece of mango. Thankfully, I do not get blisters anymore.
Now, let’s come to this Mango Raita recipe. This Mango Raita is very simple and easy to make. It is very customizable too. You can add the spice powders listed in the recipe below and omit some if you don’t prefer. This mango Raita tastes great and goes well with Rotis, Pulao or Biryani.You can have this Mango Raita as such too.

How to make mango raita or aam ka raita:
In a mixing bowl, add the curd and sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add water and salt. Whisk well again. Now, transfer the curd to a serving bowl. Add mango pieces and sprinkle all the powders. Chill until you serve it.Now, Mango Raita, Aam Ka Raita is ready! Serve chill with Rotis, Pulao or Biryani.
- Always use fresh and thick curd to make Mango Raita. Avoid sour curd.
- You can add three tablespoon of mango puree along with mango pieces.
- You can add nuts to the Raita for crunchiness.
- Adding sugar is optional.
- You can use black salt instead of normal salt.
