Iyengar bakery bread sandwich, masala bread sandwich, vegetable bread toast
Iyengar bakery bread sandwich is a very tasty, simple and healthy bread sandwich. It has an amazing flavor from the combination of carrot, onion and mint leaves.
Few years back, I go to iyengar bakery often just to have this bread sandwich. What a taste! I would have this sandwich at least three days in a week as a snack.
I learned iyengar bakery bread sandwich recipe from my friend. Thanks a million to her. I tried it for the first time and I should say it matched the taste of the same bread sandwich I had once upon a time at iyengar’s bakery. I jumped out of joy.
I know many would love this sandwich as I do. For those lovers of this bakery’s sandwich, follow this recipe and enjoy! Mint leaves add a flavor to this dish so if you do not have mint leaves, try it out with coriander leaves but you will not get the same taste of the bakery’s sandwich. Still, you would love it…!
How to make Iyengar bakery bread sandwich or vegetable bread toast:
1. In a pan, heat oil. Add onions and fry until its raw smell goes off. Add grated carrot and salt.
2. Add turmeric powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves, and green chillies in an order. Saute for five more minutes.
3. Toast the breads with little ghee. Stuff the breads with the cooked sandwich or you can also sandwich the breads using the sandwich maker.
Now, iyengar bakery bread sandwich is ready!
- I have used bigger pieces of carrot and mint leaves because Gj likes it this way. If the carrots are grated and finely chopped, it tastes great and would not come in between when you eat the sandwich.
