While I start to write this post, my mouth is watering. We have been visiting Ikea often say once in two weeks. I always love to hang out there and absolutely love their finger fries and chicken wings.
Truly speaking, I was never a big fan of french fries. But now, I just love their salty flavor and crunchy texture. I am in a very good relationship with it now. Past few months, I have put a lot of weight. Sigh!!!! Once I eat finger fries, I would swear that I would not touch them for two months. I then repeat it again. Another sigh from me.

I recommend seasoning the french fries because it makes you addictive. You can either season the fried french fries with garlic powder or plain sea salt. I prefer plain sea salt.
Once in awhile, you can have french fries from stores, but not always. I would suggest making them at home. We don’t know what kind of oil they use to fry these yummies at restaurants or stores. My friend who makes restaurant-style french fries taught me the tips and tricks of making this french fries.
You can make french fries for party or potluck just because most of the people love it and they do not spoil quickly. Another point to note down, potatoes are quite cheap. One downside is, it is little time consuming.

How to make french fries:
1. Cut the potatoes into 1/3-inch sticks. Soak the cut potatoes in a bowl of ice water for at least 30 minutes. Then dry the potatoes using a tissue paper to remove excess water.
2. Heat oil (325 F) for deep frying. When the oil is hot, drop the potatoes carefully and cook until potatoes turn soft and par boiled. Remove potatoes and set aside.3. Now raise the heat of the oil to 350 F. Return the par boiled potatoes to the oil. Cook until crispy and golden brown.Remove potatoes and set aside.4. Once you drain the potatoes to remove excess oil, toss the potatoes lightly with salt and pepper.Now, french fries are ready! Serve immediately.
