How to make eggless sugar cookies:
1. In a large mixing bowl, sieve all purpose flour, wheat flour, baking powder and salt. Mix it well and set aside.2. In another mixing bowl, add butter, icing sugar, milk and vanilla essence. Whisk it well to form a cream consistency.3. Now, add the flour mixture and mix well.
4. Initially, the mixture would be like bits and pieces but then it will form a smooth dough. Add a teaspoon of milk if needed, but not more than that. Using a cling wrap, cover the dough and set it aside in a refrigerator for 15 minutes.5. After 20 minutes, take it out and place it on a parchment or butter paper. Preheat oven for 180 C or 350 F for 10 minutes. With a chappathi roller, roll the dough till just about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut them into different shapes with cookie cutters.6. Take them out gently using a ladle and place them on the baking pan lined with a parchment or baking paper. You can keep the cookies quite close to each other as these would not spread much. Now, you can decorate them with sugar sprinkles or beads. I decorated just the christmas trees.7. Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown. Switch off and take it out out. Allow the cookies to cool down completely on a wire rack, and store them in an airtight container.Now, sugar cookies is ready!If desired, you can decorate the cookies with icing.
