Banana ice cream recipe – A delicious and creamy homemade ice cream made with ripe bananas and milk.
When we buy banana ice cream from ice cream parlors, we would not have control over the quantity of sugar. Whereas when we make banana ice cream at home, we know what is going into it and also we could reduce the quantity of sugar in it. Mostly, I make ice creams at home and I am happy that my family loves it.
This year, I wanted to post a lot of ice cream recipes. Last week, I posted banana soft serve and this week it is banana ice cream. Next week, I will try to post grape granita. Hope you all like this banana ice cream.
How to make banana ice cream recipe at home:
1. Peel and quarter bananas and freeze until solid or say for two hours. Then pulse the frozen banana pieces. First, it would look crumbled and smashed. Pulse again and then it would turn mushy and smoother. Still, it would have chunks of banana in it. Again when you pulse, the banana will turn creamy and reach the ice cream texture. Freeze for two hours.2. Now add the frozen banana to the blender and add milk and sugar. Blend until smooth. It is okay to have bits and pieces of banana here and there. Pout it into a freezer-safe bowl and freeze it for 4 hours.3. Now again add the frozen banana puree to the blender and add ice cubes (optional). If you are going to eat it right away, then add ice cubes while blending. If you are planning to freeze the ice cream and eat it later, you don’t have to use ice cubes.
